Blessed are Those That Have God’s Forgiveness

Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered. (Rom 4:7)

It is statement of fact confirmed by the scriptures that all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. Committing sin means walking contrary to God, offending God, breaking God’s rule, being under God’s wrath. Then it is a serious issue for all and sundry since the judgment is passed on all human race. No wonder it is really a great blessing to have God’ forgiveness

God deserves the right to be annoyed with man for breaking his simple instructions. Iniquities and sin means the same thing and they both attract God’s punishment. The next thing for man to look out for is how to get out of God’s condemnation. Thank God that His love would not allow Him to leave men in this hopeless situation but rather to grant them forgiveness

He had therefore provided the means of getting delivered from the torments of sin. No wonder he can say that blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven and whose sins are covered. He had provided a way for us to get rid of sin in our life. He said if we say we have no sin in our life as some one born of woman we are liars, But he is faithful to forgive us if only we would confess and forsake those sins.

Many times devil would interpret this message to mean that we can’t be free from sin, since bible had said that if we say we are no sinners we are liars. But we should remember that the condition for the forgiveness is to confess and forsake the sins, then we will believe the work of redemption done by our lord Jesus Christ on the cross of Calvary. There He purchased God’s forgiveness for us

When this is done we will be justified before God. We will be as if we never sinned before. Our names will be written in the book of life. We will no longer live the life of condemnation. We will have that blessing that belongs to those whose iniquities are forgiven and those whose sin are covered.

It essential that bear the basic steps in mind. Confess those sins to Jesus and forsake them, abhor them, develop hatred for them and then believe in the atonement done by Jesus by His death on the cross of Calvary. Having done this, God who discerned the intent of the heart will bear witness with his spirit that he had become the sons and daughters of God. This is what is reffered to as having God’s forgiveness
